It’s a dirty job, but someone has to clean it!

Do you like to clean? One of the most important decisions we had made shortly after we were married in 2003, was to switch from conventional cleaning products containing hazardous, cancer-causing chemicals to more natural cleaners. Unfortunately, although we liked that we were no longer adding toxins to our home, we were underwhelmed with their ability to actually clean things well. That changed a couple of years later when we were introduced to non-toxic cleaners that were not only environmentally friendly, but that actually cleaned as good or better than conventional cleaning products. So when we transitioned into full-time RV living in August 2018, it was the one question for…

Our 2017 Guide to Natural Health

A New Age of Natural Health “It was the worst of times, it was the best of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of light, it was the season of darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair …” Although we know the setting for this narrative to be the French Revolution of the late 1700s, this description could easily describe what we see in Western Civilization today, particularly when the topic centers on natural health. Nowhere is this dichotomous portrait more…

But I don’t want to take supplements!

Is it necessary for a person to take supplements? Answer: No. (but there is the following caveat…)   It’s completely unnecessary for someone to take supplements if he or she does the following: > drink 6-8 cups of purified water every day > ingest high quality protein containing all 8 essential amino acids > eat a minimum of 8-10 servings of fresh fruits and vegetables every day > at least 50% of your entire diet is raw food > eat only certified organic foods all the time > DO NOT eat any processed, re-fined, pre-packaged, instant foods > stay away from all sugar containing foods and junk foods > stay…

EveElise and I have been on a health and wellness journey ever since we were married in 2003. The conversations started simply enough typically revolving around substituting better quality food products for cheaper, unhealthier ones.  For example, early on in our marriage, we liked to treat ourselves on occasion to a homemade malt.  Instead of buying a box of ice cream and the standard powered, processed malt, we began to make our own ice cream with higher quality organic products and then adding in organic barley malt syrup.  We followed a similar process with pizza and other things we liked to eat.   This path we walked eventually led us…

Do you want to live a long life?

I think it’s fair to assume that most people want to live as long and as productively as they can. We know that mankind has the potential of living for approximately 120 years. The most recent eldest person made it to 116. The world’s current oldest living person is an Italian woman who will be 117 in November 2016.   Now you may or may not want to live that long, but if you are concerned about an early demise, the first thing you need to do is change your thinking and your habits. That takes discipline, and then it takes action. Wishing for better health, just like wishing for…
